She received her PhD from Princeton University in 2026, as well as an MA and a BA from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. Her work spans publishing, teaching, and cultural programming. In Rio de Janeiro, she worked for independent presses such as Bazar do Tempo. At Princeton, she taught Portuguese to Spanish speakers and served as a fellow at Princeton University Press. As a poet, she is the author of O teatro do mundo (7Letras, 2017), a finalist for the Jabuti Prize, among other books. Catarina's writing has appeared in anthologies such as 29 poetas hoje, edited by Heloisa Teixeira (Companhia das Letras, 2021), as well as in publications including Inimigo Rumor and O Globo. Her work is currently being translated into English by Grace Holleran and Daniel Persia.
